At McConnell's Driver Training Ltd, we provide a comprehensive service for all our trainee driving instructors. We guide our students closely, offering both career guidance and business advice upon course completion. Courses are tailored to suit your needs and expectations. We offer great levels of flexibility, building your training schedule around a time table that suits you.

Part 1 - Home Theory Study Course

You will complete a systematic and structured study course from home. You will learn the essential driving and teaching theory, as well as the practical components of your course.

You will receive your own home study pack, containing DSA recommended books and resources. Working through the guide section by section, our expert instructors offer advice over the practical guidance through the subsequent components of the course. 

Part 2 - Driving Ability Test

You will complete a further 10 hours of driver training, which will bring you up to the required standard, in order to pass the driver ability test.

Part 3- Test Of Instructional Ability

You will complete 40 hours of Part 3 training in preparation for the test of your instructional ability. Each session is typically 2 hours of intensive practice, completed by personal reflection, home study and practice, and further preparation for your next practical session. 

Rescue /Top-Up Training

We are more than happy to help people who realise that the training they have had with previous instructors is not up to par, and realise this is the reason they have struggled with or failed Parts 2 and 3 of the qualifying process. We will carry out an assessment drive for Part 2 and give you an honest appraisal and solution to what is required to pass. We will guide and prepare you for your Part 3 test, helping you regain your confidence and look forward to becoming a driving instructor
